As an artist my primary purpose has been to make the ordinary extraordinary. I draw my inspiration from the every day life and the things that capture my attention. I aspire to make the mundane into something beautiful. I love all that photography has to offer and the power it has to bring to light how exquisite life can be. I strive to be submerged in my art at all times- I find myself photographing at every turn. I love the ability that photography as to answer questions while simultaneously asking them. Walker Evans and Diane Arbus have been some of my favorite photographers for the way they both surround themselves with their projects and use their images to tell a story. I strive to achieve this in my own work. I hope you find answers but are still left hungry for more.
“Stare. It is the way to educate your eye, and more. Stare, pry, listen, eavesdrop. Die knowing something. You are not here long.”
– Walker Evans
I put up my work in a gallery for an exhibition and here are images of that.
